Here is a little information about us and our family to look over.
Jason Woodman I was born in January of 1982. I grew up in Colorado and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in philosophy and minors in music and speech communications. I met the Lord when I was 16 when a friend invited me to youth group. Soon after, I felt the Lord calling me into full time ministry and have been walking with Him and pursuing His call ever since. I got involved with Campus Crusade for Christ when I was a freshman at UNC. I helped launch several Bible studies on the campus. I spent a year serving overseas with Campus Crusade in East Asia before I graduated and began working with them full time. I've made five different trips into East Asia to help the gospel spread in this amazing country. On my last trip, I fell in love with Kelly, and we were married the following year. Currently, I work at Kansas State University. I enjoy reading philosophy and theology books and spending time in the mountains hiking, climbing, mountaineering, fishing, hunting, snow boarding, and doing anything else that will put hair on my chest. I am a crazy jazz music fan and love taking risks and meeting new people. My favorite Bible verse: "Romans 4:5; 'However, to the man who does not work, but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited to him as righteousness.' It is the best summary of what the Lord has tried to teach me my entire life. My best college memory: Hands down, it was shooting squirrels at our house two blocks off campus with my roommates my sophomore and junior years.
Kelly Woodman I was born in San Antonio, TX in September of 1978 (yes, I am a Texan). However, having moved to Colorado when I was seven, I consider myself Coloradan through and through. I attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, where I studied various majors before settling on and graduating with a music degree in French Horn. While in college, I came to know the Lord through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) my freshmen year, and by His grace I have walked with Him ever since. I have been involved with the ministry of CCC in different capacities since then as well. Through the ministry, I grew in my faith, learned how to share my faith, and eventually felt called to serve the Lord full time. After graduating college in 2001, the Lord called me to Madrid, Spain for two years as an intern with CCC, where my passion and burden for college students blossomed. Upon returning from Spain, I joined the staff of CCC full time and reported to the University of Northern Colorado for my first assignment. After meeting Jason there and marrying him, the Lord has called us to minister at Kansas State University. My passions include reading, mountain sports (skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and hiking) and cooking. I love to create and invent new exciting dishes, baked goods, etc. Plus, Jason loves trying them. On a different note, I am also fueled by seeing life change. I love watching as the Lord changes lives and enflames new souls for his Gospel. And that frees me up to truly love what we do; sharing the Gospel with college students has to be a highlight of my life. My favorite Bible verse: Colossians 1:10-12 because the Lord uses it over and over again to confirm my call into a lifetime of ministry. "That you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light." My favorite/recommended book: "When Life and Beliefs Collide" by Carolyn Custis James.
Caleb Woodman Born on May 16th 2007, our little guy is a tremendous blessing. His pictures are peppered all over our website! He doesn't have much life to tell about yet, but when he does, we pray that his story will be one of reconciliation and deliverance by the Lord, just like ours.
