Fly On The Wall

Sunday, May 6, 2012 - 11:13

If YOU were fly on the wall at our student leader’s retreat, what would you have heard? Students were asked to explain Destino, what we call our Hispanic and Latino student ministry here in Denver, by finishing the sentence, “To me, Destino is...” Here’s what they said:

  • “A safe place to be broken, to experience God’s love through others”
  • “A redeemed family”
  • “Kind of like a school...a place where I can learn, not just about God, but about life”
  • “A community that demands authenticity”
  • “A group of the coolest people ever”
  • “The place where I met God for the first time”

These are the responses that your support of this ministry has brought about in student’s lives. We are so grateful for you! And as the Lord leads, we continue to trust him to raise up a generation of Hispanic and Latino leaders who will change the world!

What does it mean to join our team? Why should I do it? How can I do it? Read on to find some answers!

What does it mean to join our team? As missionaries with Cru, we are all about mobilizing people in an effort to help fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Those who partner with us to this end we like to call team members. Our team members support us by offering us their influence, expertise, resources, and prayers.
